I had the pleasure of taking Bobby and Elizabeth's engagement pictures recently. They are completely adorable and super sweet. I had tons of fun!

Learning Something New Every Day
Now that photography has graduated to the digital age, it changes every day.
I took for granted that I learned on a film camera. Now, I'm wishing I would have had the opportunity to learn on both an SLR and DSLR. I wish I would have learned to edit in both the darkroom and Photoshop.
Now I have to teach myself. I do a lot of research. I have to. I want to stay competitive. I want to know what is out there and how I can do it. What poses are popular? What lighting techniques? What cameras? Lenses? Locations?
These are all things I research and think about before I shoot your session. It is why I like to know about you. Do you like more of the classical type of photography or do you want something edgier? Soft and sweet and contrasty and dynamic?
I do have a Pinterest under Mandy Neahring Long. You are more than welcome to find me and follow me. Look as the samples and tutorials I have been looking at. Tell me what you like.
I love to learn and try new techniques. I want this to be your best photographic experience you have every had.

Family Session
I was asked by a friend to do a family session for her friend's family. This was my first attempt of a family with small children, and then a family with nearly 20 people. I did this about 3 years ago, back in 2010.
I tried to do some of the more whimsical, fun type of photos, as this family was all about joking and playing around. It was a family with 6 children, all grown. The youngest of the siblings was about to leave to go overseas with the military. They wanted to make sure they got a family picture before he left for his destination.

The Bell Girls
Here are some pictures of who I call the Bell Girls. They are my old counselor's kids.
I think these girls are absolutely beautiful. I took them about 4 years ago.
